In mid-May 2010 Heaven and Hell Records will release the Nevada powerhouse Seventh Calling’s second full-length album ‘Epidemic’.

Originally from Minneapolis, Minnesota, the band built a name for themselves through Midwest tour dates and their 2007 album Monuments on Melissa Records. Last year the core of the band, Steve Handel and guitarist Alex Ritchey relocated to Las Vegas, Nevada to team up with Avenger of Blood drummer Shannon Frye to complete the ‘Prelude to Madness’ EP, issued late 2009 by Heaven and Hell Records.

The band’s debut for the label has been met with rave reviews worldwide as anticipation grows for their second full length. With the addition of Marc Flores, also of Avenger of Blood, on bass the band entered at Sound Vision Studios of Las Vegas, NV on Feb. 15th with producer/engineer, Lance Swain. This will be the second time that the group has done work with Lance, who also did work with the band on their video 'Blood of the Divine' taken from the band's EP release 'Prelude to Madness’.

"The new material is more aggressive than past efforts, and all of us involved, feel that this music is much more matured. And to be working with Lance Swain again on this project will be great!" - guitarist/vocalist Steve Handel.

Track listing for ‘Epidemic’ is as follows;

1. Test of Time

2. Paid in Blood

 3. Rising Against

 4. Epidemic

   5. Ignite the Fire

  6. Death Dealer
    7. Fractured
    8. Tyrannical Reign
    9. Beyond (the Wicked Lies)

In addition to the rapid progress in the past few months and the signing with industry veteran Marco Barbieri’s Salem Rose Music Publishing, Seventh Calling have steadily maintained a presence on the live music circuit all over the U.S. since their appearance at the Kansas City Power Metal Festival in 2009.

Following the release of ‘Epidemic’ in May of 2010 a two part U.S. tour will begin in June and run through September seeing the band circling the country twice. Special guest Cruz Del Sur’s Widow will be joining Seventh Calling on several of these dates.

2010 promises to be a good year for Seventh Calling. Please watch for more announcements will follow soon.

Salem Rose Music Publishing has announced its publishing cooperation with Seventh Calling. The band describes themselves as 100% metal and there’s no question upon listening to their strong brand of confident, traditional metal enhanced by some modern and heavier overtones.

"We are very excited to have the chance to work with Marco Barbieri. He is a person of great experience in the industry,” notes Steve Handel (lead singer/guitarist).  “It is our pleasure to begin our partnership at this time, and we hope that together, we can achieve and accomplish the many goals that are set before us."

Originally from Minneapolis, Minnesota, the band built a name for themselves through Midwest tour dates and their 2007 album Monuments on Melissa Records. Last year the core of the band, Steve Handel and guitarist Alex Ritchey relocated to Las Vegas, Nevada to team up with Avenger of Blood drummer Shannon Frye to complete the Prelude to Madness EP, issued late 2009 by Heaven and Hell Records. With the addition of Marc Flores, also of Avenger of Blood, on bass it was natural for Salem Rose Music Publishing to work out a deal with the very promising band.

Shannon Frye had this to add, “With Avenger of Blood on hold for the time being, Marc and I joined Seventh Calling, which is some killer metal that's fun and challenging. Avenger of Blood will return in the future, but for now Seventh Calling is our priority and working on this again with Marco is awesome.”

Seventh Calling are playing shows in Vegas and readying themselves to enter the studio next month to record their new full-length, Epidemic, which will be followed by tour dates around the country.

Salem Rose Music began in 2007 as a management company handling the affairs of WARBRINGER, as well as establishing a Music Publishing division handling the administration of works for emerging artists including AVENGER OF BLOOD, HEXEN, DEVASTATOR and REVENANCE. Since the company, a creative venture from industry vet Marco Barbieri to assist young bands in their ambitions, has begun managing additional artists, including ABIGAIL WILLIAMS and DECREPIT BIRTH, as well as entertaining new avenues like promoting local shows, consulting and producing.

"Seventh Calling unleashes well-executed throwback metal that recalls the likes of Judas Priest and Iron Maiden."
    -State Theatre St. Petersburg, Florida

Seventh Calling is a 100% heavy metal band that has many influences from which it draws its strength. Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Metal Church, Slayer, Testament, Grim Reaper, Nevermore, early Metallica and more. Consisting of Steve Handel (guitars/vocals), Alex Ritchey (lead guitar), Marc Flores (bass) and Shannon Frye (drums), Seventh Calling is able to deliver a high energy live performance that pushes them above many of the other bands that are out there today. Solid vocals, twists on dual guitar attacks, a very solid, rhythm section, are just parts of what creates Seventh Calling's modern heavy metal that has hints of the classic style and sound present throughout their work.
